My experience has been that Bulldogs remain "impish" and have frequent spurts of playfulness up until close to the end. Once their health starts to go downhill. it goes down fast.

If there is any change at all I'd say after 2 years. I have one with medium energy and one with low energy unless they're chasing something out of the yard then they are both fast!

My six year old bulldog just jumped into my Christmas tree with his mouth open trying to eat an ornament so I don't want to alarm you but....

A good pup is a tired pup (my motto). Nothing a nice long (relative to an EB that is) walk won't fix!

In my experience with Samson, he got out of the puppy stage and into the more chill, relaxed adult stage by 2 yrs old. At 5 he started getting into that more stereotypical lazy bully mode where he wants to spend alot more time snoozing and cuddling than chasing his ball.

this thread is right on time for me. sarah is 5 and doesnt do anything much anymore. she sleeps alot and snuggles. i was wondering if its just normal for bullies to slow as they age. she used to play some but not so much anymore. i was getting worried but see its normal.
