Harlow is one of the the Lucky Four Bullies that came in needing some MAJOR TLC. She came from a home where she was crated most of the day and was possibly mistreated too. She was going to be a breeder dog, but her owners fled and when FEBR learned that four bullies were going to be abandoned we had to step in. Harlow was picked up with urine stains on her back legs and was petrified of everything. She was not used to going outside and was unsure what a toy was.
UPDATE 3/17/17: Harlow is on meds for a cough that is getting better, but otherwise has a clean bill of health. She is much less fearful of leaving her crate now. House training will be something that will take a LONG time with her as she was used to going in her crate and even cleaning up after herself. Her adoptive family will need to be very patient with her as this will likely not be able to be corrected in the short amount of time in foster care. She likes to play with other dogs, but does play a bit rough. She is energetic now that she is feeling better and craves human attention.
UPDATE 4/1/17: Harlow was spayed and is healing nicely. She is also being treated for a UTI. Harlow will do great in a home with other dogs. She is neither passive, nor alpha, but somewhere in between. She likes to play with toys and you do have to be careful that she doesn't pick up your shoes! She warms up quickly, but is still quite scared when in new places or when she sees new things. She would do best with kids over 10.
