UPDATE: Celie is healthy and off of medical hold! Get your applications in now! Celie gets along with other dogs just fine and loves to play!
Some of you may recognize Celie from last year. She was found abandoned with horrible skin issues along with her sister Nettie. They were nursed back to complete health in their foster home and were given a second chance with a forever family.
Well, to our heartache and disbelief, this is them today, rescued again. They were surrendered in terrible shape, by their owners. As you can imagine FEBR is furious about this situation! We are happy they are back safe though and have been treated for their skin and eye issues.
Celie had a horrible case of mange and it took her a very long time to get back healthy again because her immune system was so compromised. Nettie had eye issues which were treated fairly quickly.
Nettie recovered so quickly, while her sister struggled, so she was adopted out to a wonderful home. We are happy to announce that Celie is now off of medical hold and ready to find her forever home too! This sweet girl is only 1 1/2 and has already been through so much. We can't wait for her to be pampered when we find the right family for her!
