Then the big boy decided to go on an explore. He walked up a very steep path (much steeper than the first pic shows) and then we did a circle through the bush to another bigger path which had a little stream running alongside and a lot of fall leaves in one part (it's late winter here). After that it was back to the main track and then huffing a puffing up the track to the road.

It's fun to see where our boy's explorations take us and sometimes we find nice new walks that way!

Have a good weekend everybody!

Wow those are beautiful pictures where you walk. If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? It's beautiful there.

I expect to see the Shire just around the bend in those pics! How lucky you are to get to see all that on your daily walks.

JeannieCO - we are in Wellington, in the middle of New Zealand.

LariP - Peter Jackson is shooting the Hobbit in Wellington right now, various stars of the show are around town (not much into that but one is Orlando Bloom) and they are advertising for extras! There are two places we have been which look like Lord of the Rings scenes here. One is not an actual filming site but is cool with natural tunnels through a rocky beach, about 15 minutes drive from our house. The other is where they filmed the elven scenes of Lord of the Rings (Kaitoke), which is about 45 minutes drive away. Actually it's quite hard to see exactly where they filmed but it is really lovely there - large native trees and a river. We went camping there with the big boy a couple of times.
