This may be long so I apologize in advance.

He is still in supportive care, but they are saying that there is a good chance that he will come out of this and be OK. They have and are cautioning us that he may not. I understand as a former nurse that they have to air on the side of caution. We live in a small town so an outside English bulldog specialist has been consulted and has looked at the x-ray's and has confirmed the diagnosis of aspiration pneumonia. We have absolutely no idea what caused him to begin to feel ill. We did have our daughter in law come with her new puppy and her English bulldog Kawliga the day before but nothing unusual happened, no usual food, and certainly no over exerting due to the exceptional hot weather we have here in East Texas. The best guess is he had some mucus in the back of his throat which was causing him to breathe uncomfortably and ultimately what was causing him to have an upset stomach (gas) or he could've had some acid on his stomach which was causing some acid regurgitation which was causing pain which ultimately resulted in the vomiting. The passing out is of course due to him being a brachycephalic dog and he went too long without being able to breathe because he was dry heaving so severely. Ranger is an incredibly healthy English bulldog (if that's a thing. Lol) he does not suffer from any orthopedic, chronic allergy, skin issues, or breathing issues. This is just a fluke thing that has happened but we know the Ultimate Physician is on our side and He is going to, and is placing His hands on our baby to heal him completely and wholly. I will keep you all updated, as I receive information from our vet who has been an absolute angel through this whole thing. Again, if I could come and hug each and everyone of you for your kind words and your thoughts and your prayers the good Lord knows that I would. I covet them and need them more than you'll ever know. Thank you so much. Much love from us. Ashley & Ranger ❤️

What an ordeal, OMG! I somehow missed the whole story with Ranger! Poor baby! He will pull through, he is young and strong, puppies and old dogs are at most danger, his age and good health give a lot of hope for recovery! Praying for your recovery Ranger, and for your Mom's heart! It's amazing how your heart Ashley felt wrong, despite video shows nothing of THAT scale! I watched it and it looks just like a bulldog who wants may be to go potty! He is lucky to have Mom watching him like a hawk. I think aspiration of saliva or burp liquids could happen some moment while playing and being excited with his doggy playmates. Because pneumonia takes usually 2-3 days at least to be visible on X-ray. Day when he felt sick, pneumonia should exist for 2-3 days.
My Tank easily can vomit if I let him play and get excited earlier than 1-2 hours after eating. You know, dogs stomach and esophagus are in horizontal position, because they walk 4x4, so they easily regurgitate food if active too early after eating.
But he will be OK! I have a good feeling. Wish I could hug you for support!

I cannot believe I've missed this, I am so sorry you are going through this, but I know Ranger is a fighter, I know you have faith and we are all praying. I remember the week we almost lost Tyson, staring at him in an oxygen chamber for a week, it was the WORST week of my life, ever. He pulled through and I know Ranger will too! Keep us posted! Sending so many hugs!

Amazing when you think we listen to your breathing video sounded like most of our dogs which was a normal breathing to all of us from what we heard everyday from our bullies. And look what little Ranger has been going through. Who would of thought. Ranger will pull through as he's in good hands and he's a young little fellow. He's got this! :2thumbs:
