I use to power walk a lot with my GS a good 10 k m daily. Now 1/2 or less depending on weather with Nyala. Your puppy is 6months old correct? Just make sure (if you are not aware) to start slowly especially if she's not use to hike or walk far. As you can do more damage than good at that age. Just a thought n my 2 cents. :)

She is 6 months old.
She has lots of energy and we made sure it wasn't to hot. Went early in the morning and most of the hike was shaded. We tried to sit halfway through but she wanted nothing to do with that. Lol
Oh and though I need to I don't power walk. Lol. It's was just a nice walk.

Even if she doesn't want to do anything with it, stop a good 20 mins. Active dogs will never stop as they dont know how to, they dont know they are damaging inside. Its not now they will have issues but much later. Dogs insides (muscles, tissues etc) are finished forming at 18 months old. And yes I know I also have to force Nyala to stop. When her cousins pit bulls come over she once walked like and old lady on a cane. It's her that wont stop not them. Had to massage her n I oay for mine! Lol Anyhooooo all I wanted to say.
