Fun day at the lake!

Today was the first time I've taken them to the lake! Penny LOVED IT! She Even shot out a few times to swim around! I'll be looking into life vests for them - Especially Penny, Lockjaw was fine just walking around. We got home, cleaned them up, fed them and now they are both done for the night! I'll have to figure out how to upload the video of Penny swimming.

Look at them, they look great!!! And yes get some vests. Nyala did the same thing but jumped from a small hill straight in current water and thank god she had the 8ft leash. I ran and jumped on the leash so fast and dragged her in! Next day got a vest! Worth ever penny.

Great photos!! I have been hesitant take Chunky near water even though there is a lake and boat ramp a 200 yards from the house.

OMG-Penny did the same thing! One of the girls threw one of the "sea weed" looking things and she jumped right into the deeper end! My heart sank- she didn't freak out, all at once, I was getting to her and she just turned herself around, popped out of the water and swam out. I was shocked bc she didn't cough, sneeze, or even act like she was freaked out. We are going to go out today and get some vests and take them back out to see how they do. I'm going to get some tethered rope to attach to vest so I can pull them back in if hey get too brave. Lol

Oh try it!!! I wanted to see how they would react with the water before shelling out the $ for vests. Penny LOVED it and Lockjaw seemed interested, just not as brave as Penny. I think with a vest he'll be more confident to actually swim. We will see today. We're going to try to get some beats today for them. If we do and I don't have to order them, we'll take them

I have this old rainbow colour ratchet*strap 20ft the ones you buy to tie like a sofa behind your truck and bought a REAL clip when you do mountain climbing so it wont brake. Hopefully this year since she's a bit older she'll be more alert. Pfffffft wishful thinking! Lol
