Finally getting along with Baby Kitty who is now 19 years old!


Anyone know what kind of plant this is? My Nee grew it from a bulb but we don't know what it is.

Walley-Bubba is so handsome and is a master gardener!

The plant might be a eucomis (commonly called pineapple lily). I asked a friend of mine who is a plant researcher. She has never seen one or grown one, but says it looks a lot like pictures she has seen of them.

Thanks, looks like eucomis is correct; Google eucomis found this:


The plant was grown from a bulb in the spring of 2013.
Ann received it from Costo in the early spring of last year.
The bulb was included free in a bag of begonia bulbs or lilly bulbs.
It was free because Costo includes free bulbs of unknown type.
It was very easy to grow.
And survived the -5*F temps here last winter before gradually growing into the beautiful specimen shown.
