At least twice a day in the early morning and evening . She does her business during the walks, she loves to stop and sniff takes around 40 mins to an hour.

Trigger can out-walk us! ! (We believe him to be OEB despite AKC papers , but that's another thread ;)) he can really go forever. Winston currently makes it to the mailbox and back twice a day. ... not far at all; then he needs a rest. He will just lay down when done. He rather likes hanging with the kids in yard and sleeping.

My dog generally walks with one of us throughout the day. Whether inside or outside. She has free roam since we live out of town. We have a field, woods and our yards. She doesnt stray. Though we rarely leave her outside alone. She doesnt like that anyway. At evening family and dog walk around our property daily. Squirrels keep her busy too. No shortage of casual walks.

I walk Goob once every week day for about 20 minutes. On the weekend, we play at the park AND take several walks. Goob is pretty athletic and loves to be active. He CAN jog a mile (with breaks in between). We only let him do this once bc I read somewhere that some bullies will keep going and going and going and its up to their person to read how they're doing and STOP them if necessary...Which is what we did!

Ruckus loves his walks. Now that the weather has gotten cooler, Ruckus can go on walks at almost anytime. It's so nice to see him comfortable and not fighting the summer heat...even when it's hot out he begs to stay outside. In the mornings, before I go to work, I take him on a long walk -- 45 minutes, sometimes an hour. We aren't necessarily walking the entire time; people stop us to pet him regularly and I try to switch up the route so he can explore. I like to tire him out a bit so he takes a morning nap. Keith works from home frequently, but you can't get much work done when Ruckus wants to play tug-o-war. He gets a few trips to the park during the day and then Keith normally brings him to meet me on my walk home from work, so he gets another long walk at that time. Before bed he generally just goes out to tinkle in the courtyard, but if he has lots of energy I take him on a 20 minute walk before bed. He's an energetic boy!!

Kucha goes every morning around a block.
She wakes me up, want to be escorted to the garden (although she has a doggy door open for her to us 24/7).
she does hes business, and is ready to come back the house.
With a little encouragement we can reach the gate, then we go around a block.
A lot of sniffing but from about half way she speeds up heading home.
if we drive to a park, she would go for about 10 min, then rush back to the car
I would say that she doesn't like to walk...

Hank does three miles once a week with us now that the weather is cooler. We usually take a few breaks for water along the way, but he keeps a better pace than I do most times.

Farley Foo (8 1/2 yrs old) RIP My precious FarlyFoo 7/24/2017
I wish I could get Farley to go for a real walk! He just isn't into it. I tried walking him daily a couple of months ago early in the mornings. He will always start out far behind me.. We have gotten only 4 houses down a couple of times.Normally I am lucky if we get out of the driveway!! He just drags his feet to go on walks. But when he knows we are heading home he kicks it up into high speed! I am sure the neighbors must laugh at us when they see our outings.*lol*

Goob was the same way when he was small. But, i would pick him up and walk him as far as i could so he was FORCED to walk home. Its like he got an energy boost in one direction (home) haha. If we didnt go the direction he wanted, he would lay down where ever he was...the middle of the street...a lawn...a driveway..ANYWHERE! I think the neighbors laughed when they saw me carrying a 40 pound bulldog after he laid down in a yard REFUSING to budge otherwise.

Now, a 65 pound Goob is not worth fighting...If he doesn't get passed the driveway...we aren't walking
These little stinkers!

Fred gets 2 15 minute walks, one at 5.45 every morning and one about 8pm. He has free access to the back yard and will take himself out for a pee if he needs to. This seems to suit him very well and usually tires him out sufficiently for him to get a good night's sleep.

When we lived in the city we went for a walk three times a day, one was always a bit longer 3-7km, maybe once a week up to 10 km. Two walks were shorter. Now that we live in the countryside and we have our own yard they go out more often, but less for walks on a leash. Even the longer walk up to 6 km they're mostly of leash since it takes place in a field or forrest.

we don't walk very often- we live in a city and are very lucky that we live next to a green space/park and in the chilly weather he can play fetch up to 45 mins in full speed, walking he makes it about 6 blocks befor he starts to pant and pushes over 2 miles when he is completely burnt out.

In South African winter (Maj-September) we walk them on weekends if the temperature allows it, it's way to hot in summer:fie: I can't walk them by myself during the week cos there are so many stray dogs running around here and I'm scared something will happen:(. Luckily we have a big fenced in yard so they can still be outside whenever they want. So... in winter only once a week:eek:.

My poor dogs never get to go for a walk. There are too many dogs who run loose(among other animals) and I am afraid that they would attack my dog(s). People with no sense who allow pitbulls (not nice ones) to run. People up the road who have 18 dobermans. I love all animals but not running loose. I forgot to add that they have a fenced yard-so they get plenty of excercise.
