Oh, I realize I never answered your question but you already switched him. Just in case anyone else is looking at this for answers, my vet said about 8 months they can move from puppy food. We just went to all stages much earlier.
At any rate 1.5 cups sounds about right to me
. If he is still hungry, you could supplement with some frozen green beans or a little yogurt here and there or apples.
