General Question Mid day feeding

Hi great food gurus out there! At what age do you recommend cutting out the mid-day feeding? Jackson is on 6-12-6 schedule. I give him only 1/2 cup at noon, but he scoffs it down and licks the bowl for 10 minutes after! Some say 4 months, some say 6, some say he will give it up when he is ready () Somehow, I don't think that would EVER happen. Thoughts??

I might have stopped around 5-6 months but I can't remember 100%.
