I read a similar article some months ago, one of the points was the ingredients each food contains. After I checked my cat's food, I understood it has a lot of bad stuff and searched for alternatives with better ingredients.

I did the same, and I should tell you the most expensive food doesn't mean it's the best option. Everything began when my cat started to have urinary problems, and after a checkup at the vet, we understood the food causes them. He gave me some vitamins and suggested I follow this blog: https://cutepetcare.com/best-cat-food-for-urinary-issues-non-prescribed-substitutes/. I chose some new food to try on my cat, and after I found the one she liked, I paid more attention to her and observed how much the food she consumed changed her.
