Hello, I have a 16 week old puppy, I have him on mainly kibble, but was wondering how much calcium percentage should the kibble have for him? I am feeding him victor grain free kibble, but it doesnt say calcium percentage. I believe most oit there have 1.2%? What are the calcium requirements and recommendations for a puppy boy?

Usually a quality kibble will be balanced out with calcium or minerals. Example calcium can be find in eggs which had 50mg of calcium. Itā€™s going to be in the ingredients. IMO, you donā€™t need to give extra vitamins. Not necessary rights now. You donā€™t want to over supplement a puppy. Simply add supplements as food ingredient like give him as a treat or topping an egg once in a while, Greek yoghurt or sardines etc.... I googled your dog food to look for Calcium only has D-calcium pantothenate which basically is B5 n youā€™ll find that in eggs, cereal grains or milk. Also I noticed there is only ā€œmealā€ and no meat. Meal is good but still 300x in protein. Example below are PUPPY KIBBLES!

See how yours is all ā€œmealā€ and Acana has 16% of meat then the rest is ā€œmealā€? Most acana bags will have between 16-20 meat protein then the ā€œmealā€. This is hard to explain lol. Iā€™m in the food industry n I personally would rather go with a kibble that also has meat than just all ā€œmealā€. There are also other kibbles like Zignature or Fromm but again always read the back any bag.
