    Default Turmeric mix recipe

1/2 cup - Turmeric powder (*make sure that the turmeric powder is organic and is loaded with curcumin!)
    1 - 1 1/2 cups - Filtered water
1 1/2 teaspoons - Freshly ground black pepper (increases absorption)
1/4 cup - Organic, cold pressed coconut oil

Heat water in the pan and add turmeric. Stir it, it will get thick, then add pepper and oil. Cool it down, can be stored in the fridge. Dose is 1/4 teaspoon 2-3 times a day.
    Heat pad is also good.

    What is this recipe for?

My husband started making homemade food for the dogs...whenever he comes home he makes 2 chest freezer full of home made food. This last batch, he added tumeric and I swear the dogs like it so much more than the batches without tumeric

oh what a sweet dog Daddy he is! Turmeric works very well against inflammation, so humans and dogs are recommended to use it for joints for example and to reduce inflammation in general. But raw turmeric powder cannot be digested, it needs to be cooked with oil and pepper to make a so called paste which is very healing!

Also turmeric has anti cancer properties!

Your recipe is exactly the same, only water in my recipe says 1 cup, not 1-1,5. For the rest it is perfect recipe! But the amount of water is not really so important.

@Lalaloopsie Thank you for explaining! My husband has been COOKING tumeric in their food, just to clarify I'm of Indian decent and grew up knowing the benefits for humans because of our culture

When we started curly on the home and diet he lost about 15 lbs in 2 months! My husband started adding tumeric recently - the dogs all love eating the food with tumeric more now than the food without lol

Oh, that’s cool! For sure you know everything about healing properties of turmeric! If your hubby cooks it in food, it is enough fat substances in food and temperature to “open” turmeric properties! Paste is usually made for humans who don’t know how to cook food with turmeric or don’t like it for some reason in food, but still want to enjoy its healing power. They take it 1-1,5 teaspoon per day.
Personally I just munched a bowl of delicious lamb and mango curry with rice and think my daily dose of turmeric is ok
