The only food Ollie has been on since we got him is Zignature. He eats the kibble twice a day. He poops A LOT, like three or 4 times a day and it’s a big big poop and a bit too soft for my liking. For the past two months he has eaten Zignature Pork.

Today I decided to call Zignature. The CSR agreed that the Kangaroo at 26% protein and 14% fat might be best for him. Pork has 31% protein and 18% fat which she thought high for a bull dog.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

I will be interested to hear how it goes.

Monty is on either Duck or Salmon and Trout. I tried him on the Turkey and he didn't do so well. His coat got dry and his stools became very firm. I would like to try him on another and I think I will try the venison too.

When I first put him on Zignature, he was a pooing machine, massive poo's, at least 3 times a day. It took a couple of months or so to settle down, now he is back to what i consider normal.

hmmm,, less protein for less often, more firm deuces. i will be checking foxie's protein content. she does go #2 about 3 times a day, but her coat is so nice and she's not itchy so i may consider it a win for now.

probiotics also helped firm up the poops, if you wanted to try adding that. we notice if we run out.

Anything that has the word "meal" has way too much protein and the dog will poop a lot n soft. Meal has less water than fresh meat. It's like a stew boiled down... hang on let me find that site. Explains better than me....

well that's just plane weird!!! I just may check again. It was only a few months ago and they said everything but the kangaroo.

Some strange Cali regulation that prohibits certain meats being sold

UPDATE:

Ollie has been on the Kangaroo formula for one week. It’s working. His poos are less frequent, like 2 times a day and they are a lot firmer, like individual Tootsie Rolls.
We are happy.
