I'm all about holistic approaches…haven't tried herbs w/the Bass though, I'm too leery of his allergies:( LOVE Whole Dog Journal btw :2thumbs:

Did you know you can add it to their food like you do to yours? Same thing. I home cook for Nyala but times I have to go out for a day here n there so depending which son babysits gives her Acana lamb, topped with organs I always add ginger and turmeric. You can use an essential oil herb if you dont want to use fresh. Example once in awhile I add one drop of peppermint in her water. Great from inflammation, opens up the lungs for better breathing and great for circulation. If a dog breaths better, clarifies the blood they'll have less issues on allergies. Just a thought :)
