We originally tried 4 times a day when we brought them home at 7 weeks and found it a little hard to be consistent with the times because life got in the way. 3 times a day works good for our pups. 8:30 am 12:30 pm 5:30 pm or roughly that.

yes thats what i was thinking ,as feeding late and toilet training isnt a good mix really ,just worried it will mess him up through the night with his sleeping

Hi Paul, when my guys were puppies we fed them 1 cup of puppy kibble 3 times a day until they were 7 months old, then we switched them to an adult dogfood and reduced their feedings to 1 cup of kibble twice a day.

When we got Ace, we would feed 3 times per day. At about 5 months, we switched him to twice per day. He now eats 7am and 7pm.

We have always kept their food and water bowls full. The first 5 months we would put up the water bowl up at 9:00pm but now the food bowls and water bowl stays full. They do not start eating until 4:00-5:00pm. After that they eat off and on until 11:00pm. Like clockwork.
