Abby spent her whole little life in danger of liver damage. Kidney failure can cause all kinds of other organs to shut down. Liver... Pancreas... Heart... the list goes on.

ok heres my input. its not the protein in the food that is the problem but the other things that go with a high protein food such as the fat and calories that are in there. most high protein foods are high in other things and that is what puts the weight on and can cause problems not the protein itself. so couch potato dogs should not have high protein food only because of what else is in there such as fat and calories that will put the weight on. take raw feeders i dont see any overweight dogs who eat raw or ones with many problems usually unless as twice said there is an underlying condition. im so sorry that these dogs went to the bridge but they are happy and free now. :cry:
