So I got the test results back from Lily’s hair analysis.
And I was just beside myself. I was giving her some of these foods often.
I feel so awful. I am the reason for her food allergies.
But at least I now have some answers and I can make changes.

It all makes sense now. The whole time she was on Fromm’s beef she would lick & bite her paws and rub her face.
Then which I switched her to the Fromm’s Surf & Turf she turned pink on me.
Back to the Fromm’s beef and still licking, biting, and rubbing.

Well after I got the results I now know why. She is allergic to Salmon!
The beef has salmon oil and the Surf & Turf has salmon in it.
I never put two and two together on that one.

Here is what the rest of the test said she is allergic to.

Insecticides, pesticides, rodents, cats & goat dander, mosquito’s, wasps, flower antigens, weed/grass antigens, garlic, beets, string beans (which I used to give her), red leaf lettuce, blueberries (which was in the beef), oranges, fig, raisins, strawberry, grapes, watermelon (which she has eaten), papaya, olive oil, feta cheese, soy milk, yeast, oyster, salmon, gluten, barley, corn, lentils, black beans, nuts, & lamb.

Now her food is lamb base! I have her on Meadow Feast. Plus it has blueberries in it as well.

So after talking to @cowsmom (who is wonderful by the way)I am switching her to Nature's Variety Instinct LID turkey formula.
Everything else I looked in to has at least one of the items listed.
I am happy that I finally got some answers. It’s better than being left in the dark.
I want to thank @karenben for telling about the hair analysis test.
With out you I would of never knew about the test and got the asnwers I was looking for.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

That's great that you got some clear cut answers now re. your bully's food allergies. I'm thinking of getting this analysis done for my boys. Is it a fairly costly procedure?

Remember it could take months for your bully to recover from the allergic reactions of these foods,it's not a bad list actually nothing that can't be avoided,I'm glad you have found out what is causing the problems, karen

I might have to discuss this test with Dr. Bauer to see what Oliver's allergens are!

wow! a hair test really? they don't have to run a blood test? I need to look into that.. the blood test runs about $300 Is this something common? do all vets have the ability to run this test?

Karenben told me about Mark from the UK that does hair analysis.
I was at the end of my rope with Lily.
She is only 6 months so I knew I had to wait to do the blood test.
I figured I could try the hair test and see what it come back with.
And for us it was spot on.
The test only cost me like $47.00 bucks and mark was great and very helpful.
I still plan on doing the blood test but this was at least a place for me to start and now I have some answers. :)
All and all I am very happy that I went ahead and did this.
And I hope Lily will be a lot happier in the long run to!
