I just found this recipe on another website and thought I'd re-post it!! It's for Bullie Pupcakes - the name.

Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes

Ingredients:
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1-2 mashed ripe banana(s)
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup natural or low sodium peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk wet ingredients together. Add dry ingredients slowly mixing with whisk or fork until batter is thick and muffin-like. Spoon into a mini-muffin tin by the tablespoon. Bake for 12 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from tin. Store the pupcakes in an airtight container.

I haven't tried it but it was an English Bulldog rescue site so I'm assuming it must be good!!

Does anybody else make treats for their bullies???

Those sound yummy! I may have seen this before as well. Maybe I even posted it here somewhere? LOL

I think making treats is an excellent idea. I wonder about the whole wheat flour tho- isn't wheat bad?

I think I personally want a food dehydrator so I can slice up fresh yams, apples, bananas & carrots for treats! Still on my wish list!

I think that is Dozer's recipe...he doesn't have as bad of allergies as some like Champ. I have made these for Otis and he loves them. I freeze most of them and just thaw out a couple at a time. He does eat grain free food, but I only give him a pupcake every week or so, not often!

They do look yummy! I am a bad mama and havent cooked anything for my boys aside from chicken and rice or beef and potatoes or something. I do have a dehydrator and havent thought to use it for their snacks. I will have to make a mental note of this and plan a day where I make them some yummy treats with it.

My mom made all of our Bullies milk-bones when we were young. She even had a dog bone cookie cutter! All the ingredients were human grade and my brother ate one once....yuk just the thought, I never tried one.

Good topic, I have to say that I would eat those pancakes if it so happened the dogs didn't want all of them :)
