i spoke to my vet about how long roughly it would take to see new dog food results and when to take bella off if its not working.. She told me it takes roughly 2 to 4 months!! is this true??

Also if adding salmon oil to her meals twice a day does tht speed up results for her coat and skin quicker?

thanks everyone peace love and English Bulldogs

Not sure on the results of switching food... I only switched once and it was 4/5 years ago. There are a lot of people here that will be able to answer that question for you.

As for the fish/salmon oil... it is great for their coat and can do 1200mg per day

I could tell a huge differnce about week 4-5 of a food change. I do not use Salmon oil, but his food is Salmon grain free.

Yes .. I would give it a good four weeks to get the old food out of your bully's system, and to truly start to see the results of the new food.

As for the salmon oil, I love the Grizzly salmon oil. It really does make a difference in the softness in their coats and is said to boost their immune system and help their joints. PLUS they love the stuff so it's a win-win situation as far as I'm concerned!!

By many names depending on the situation?
Switching food does take time for the entire system to respond to the food and to get rid of old polluters.
Far to many other thread about food choices and switching so no need to add here also.

Regarding the salmon oil vs cocconut oil, my opinion is for the salmon. The extra benefits of salmon are better. But not all dogs can handle salmon so cocconut is good second choice.

its always best to give an omega fish oil rather than coocnut but some dogs dont do well on fish oils so coconut or flaxseed are a great alternative, excuse the spelling lol, karen
