I use witch hazel on a cotton pad, and sometimes I use this ear cleaning solution I got from the vets. You fill their ears w/it and then remove the excess w/cotton pads.
I use witch hazel on a cotton pad, it is a great astringent and it dries so quick, no worry about moisture! I use this in his nose rope and wrinkles as well. He hates the smell, goes running as soon as he sees a cotton ball! He does love when I use a dry paper towel every other day to stay on top of the dirt in his ears. Purrs like a kitten, leans right into it!
I use a homemade cleaner using equal parts of warm water, hydrogen peroxide and apple cider vinegar, and I also have a ear cleaner from the vet. I use the cleaners once a month, and in between I use a baby wipe and clean an wipe out the outside of the ears. They hate it. Lol
I do the boys ears Wednesday night and Sunday night. Ear cleaner from the vet with cotton balls. This I do feel comfortable doing. Nail clipping I don't.
I wipe their ears with either a damp warm cloth or baby wipes.
I wipe Joey's ears every day and clean it out with Epi-Otic maybe once a month, her ears have been a bit problematic since we got her, she had a really bad ear infection then.
Boeboe and Bennie's ears are thankfully doing good I check their ears about once a week and I rarely need to clean them. I'd guess I wipe them once a month and I treat them with Epi-Otic 2-3 times a year.
