I ordered 31 days worth of Stella and Chewy's Freeze Dried Raw Dinners, the Super Beef patties.
Should be getting them by Friday, so I'll start the transition this weekend.
I'm doing this because his allergies are out of control. Hoping putting him on a Raw diet, with a protein he doesn't have issues with works.
Thing is, it's a very expensive option. I did the math, and even with a 20% discount, it came out to $253 a month compared to Fromm at about $73.
And that doesn't include the frozen patties I'm gonna get locally if I start to see results. I just don't know what to do anymore. Every quality food I've looked at, has ingredients I don't want to feed him, so my options are limited.
If this doesn't work, there's a new drug that came out recently for dogs with allergies. It's not a steroid or an antihistamine. It only targets the itching for dogs with allergies and according to the studies, there aren't any serious side effects.
My vet's very excited about this new med.
But, it's also very expensive- and I'd rather him him on a diet that controls his allergies, rather than a medication.
