Usually he listens really well, but once he gets tired oooohhh buddy it is on! Then suddenly he's going to stand outside & smell the breeze, watch the neighbors, lay in the grass etc and do whatever he wants haha!

Oh good. I really thought it was me for not properly taking him for puppy training. :whew: I guess it's a bully thing. Stubborn and very smart. He gets us to do what he wants.:D

Wha?

Vegas listens real well if you are talking to him while shaking the cookie jar. If there is a treat involved, he's all ears. Orion won't listen to anybody or anything. She won't listen until you give in to her demand. Only then will she shut up.

lol; did you say selective or defective?:rofl:My girls hear when they want to hear and look at you like you are from another world or act like they cannot hear if it is something they don't want to do at that particular moment. Amber is the master of hesitation!!! She has got to be the thinkest dog on the plant because she always thinks about almost everything unless it happens to be sit and I have a morsel in my hand. Ruby is still ambitious but Amber is teaching her the talent of hesitation. lol

Why is it that Bullies are smart but only respond to what THEY want. Because the are SMART. LOL! Petunia totally ignores me if I tell her to come, go outside, etc...but if I have a treat...she's on it like white on rice. Samson was like that too...he loved to sun himself but he would sit out there for hours if I let him...I would cal him and he would give me the sideways stinkeye. It was like he was thinking: maybe if I ignore here she will GO AWAY. Eventually I would have to walk right up to him and tell him to go inside, whereupon he would run to the door like a streak of lightning! What a funny dog he was!
