Welcome to the June 2014 Fromm Family Foods Contest!

If this is the first page you are viewing on our forum, then I really must tell you more about our site before you go! We have a lot of fun here with many events, discussions, daily "Bully" poll, and articles. We welcome all members or if you have a question about your bully's health or care, we are happy to give whatever advice and experiences we can share. We hope you check out all our different forums and share your bully experiences with us!

About this contest:

This months contest is going to test your writing skills along with your feelings toward your beloved bully(s)! Your subject is your bulldogs, so write them a poem, either to them or about them, in any poetry form. Please include a photo of your bully.

Rules:

• Your poem must have the name(s) of the bulldogs you are writing about in it somewhere at least once.
• Include a well lit photo of your bully
• Please keep your poem under 500 words
• Don't forget your poem's TITLE!
• Only one poem per user please! If you submit more than one poem we will only enter the first poem submitted.
• All Bulldog moms, dads, and family members are welcome to enter our contest
• After June 22, 2014 we will no longer accept entries.
• All poem entries will be submitted to Fromm Family Foods staff who will choose the winner.
• Winner will be announced on or around July 1, 2014.
• Once you enter your poem in this contest you are giving English Bulldog News and Fromm Family Foods permission to publish it on their website and newsletter correspondence, and possible future items such as calendars and greeting cards.
• Your poem must belong to you. Copyright laws forbid you from entering any material that was not written by you in your own words.
• You must be a registered member of English Bulldog News and submit your poem by replying to this topic.
• We apolgize but the contest winner must reside in the USA or Canada
• If you reside outside of the USA or Canada and you win, we will have the prize sent to any English Bulldog Rescue of winners choice in the USA or Canada.

Winner of this contest will receive the following prizes:

Ode to YOU LOOK MAHVELOUS MAUDE

Who shall I say is the ONE to write to?
Oh, "little" Maude, it should be you!
You are faithful and love me
I know that you do-
As long as my wishes are agreeable to you!

The first time I saw your baby face,
I knew when you grew-you'd be at MY place
So now you've been here, and trained me a lot
How could I have known you'd have your OWN plot?!

You've tricked me into thinking I'd done it
And yes, all along, YOU really spun it!
So many commands, you'd stop and think
"Am I going to do it, or just give it a wink?"

So now as things go,we are on a roll
YOU letting ME THINK I'm in control
So as you consider and plan your next maybe,
I make excuses for you-'cause you are my BABY!!

2 years of checking Kijiji,Euro Puppy and EBN,
everyday checking, looking and checking again.
What kind of dog ? What would be the name ?
everyday searching, everyday the same.

Question was what kinda bully ? French or English,
then along came the ad for sale a Frenglish.
Recognized the ad from over a year before,
called back then but there were no more.

Made plans to view and put down partial pay,
A quick look at you sent all my worries away.
No more need for searching those days were done
I had found you by chance my furry baby son.

What was your name, and what would it be
thought Tonka, thought Trouble it mattered to me.
I watched you walk and watched you prance
then it came to me your name is Chance.

Boeboe Bennie Joey Frasier

If you love one...

Boeboe before I met you,I knew nothing.
I said no to kids,
but life gave me you.
It was the start of something new,
you are the one that gets me through.

Bennie my sweet little boy,
Nothing in the world makes me as happy.
You are my pride and joy,
you are my forever puppy.

Joey you have my heart,
no matter what you make me smile.
I could never imagine being apart,
everything we have been trough was worthwhile.

Frasier know I still think of you,
even though you are no longer mine to keep.
If I had only knew,
I would have searched for you even in my sleep.


If you love one,
you love them all.
They are my fun,
and they will be my fall.

To a very special Bully

Hooch, I remember the day our eyes met

I knew our hearts bonded on that you can bet

You arrived with your neck scarf

All fresh from your bath

With your toys in a basket, your antics made me laugh

The first thing you did was check out your yard

And I knew, that you knew, life wouldn't be hard

Your mom and me talked as we watched you settle in

I knew she was happy, I could tell by her grin

As she watched you explore

And play king of the mountain

Then jump on the bench and nap by the fountain

She was able to leave you

Knowing full-well

You would be lovingly cared for

This she could tell

I thanked her for choosing me

I knew her heart was hurting

But her job made her travel

Life isn't always certain

Cheyenne also loved you

You two became good friends

Who knew that three months later

her life would come to an end

You remained at her side when she could no longer rise

You knew her time was coming Bully

How could you be so wise

We grieved together for awhile

But both of us still missed her

It's when I knew deep in my heart

You needed another dog sister

So entered Sadie to help with our loss

You sniffed her, then marked her

You showed her who's boss

You loved her, and groomed her

And slept by her side

Until she outweighed you

And began to turn the tide

But you taught her to respect you

In spite of her size

Just as you respected Cheyenne

Because you are so wise

I love you my dear Bully

I have loved you from the start

And thank God everyday

For putting you in my heart.

My T-Bone farts and snores and snorts,
He wipes his flews upon my shorts,
He leaves his slobber on my chair
but he's my love so I don't care!

Bull Dogs for Me
Bull dogs, bull dogs, are such a delight
Am I obsessed? Ithink I might.
With reckless abandonment I jumped right in,
And now I have bulldogs up to my chin.
It started with one, who was so much fun;
Who soon became two and I started to lose shoes.
Without a second thought, a second I bought,
The happiness, joy and comfort are exactly what I sought.
They are better in pairs even though your furniture will showwear
But your health and happiness will have such a flare.
Mighty teachers they are, from who I have learned;
Not to be mad, but instead just be firm.
This takes me back to my very first verse,
Bull dogs, bull dogs, are such a delight!!!

"Ode to my bully"

Ode to you, my little white bulldog.
You were so sick but stole our hearts.
Even when you let off stinky farts.
You are stubborn and dominant to no ends
But you are still my very best friend.
You make me scratch your butt 8 hours a day
But you are itchy so that is ok.
I like to kiss your squishy face
You then put me in my place.
With a paw to the face you tell me to stop.
Then you sometimes let out a fart.
I have never owned a dog that is just like a baby.
Can I some day eat my own food just maybe?
I cant find a food that doesnt make you itch
So I decided to write this poem in a stitch
I heard Fromm food was the best
I would sure love to put this to the test.
If it makes you feel brand new
That will be the food for you.
You are looking at me with that stare
Which I am starting to think is a dare.
I can't scratch your butt this poem is due
I am writing it just for YOU.

I will love you every day
So ill stop this poem because you want to play.

Ode to Rescue

Oh miss Allie you have lived a life
Full of heartbreak and full of strife
You were once loved but they moved on
Gave you away and you were gone

But that person didn’t love you
Left you alone, they had no clue
Tied to a tree and allowed to be mauled
When I heard this story I was absolutely appalled

Then I heard about your story at work
Immediately I almost went berserk
You had to be saved or else you’d be shot
And I couldn’t even fathom the thought

A few days later I took you in
Gave you a bath and let the loving begin
Many back scratches and belly rubs a day
So many toys for you to play

And for all of this you have repaid
With the love and connection that we have made
You may have been kept outside all alone
But now you are a loved member of my home

After having 4 girls my house was crazy so I went out and bought you my baby
You poo 2 much and your farts really stink but without you our house would be pink
You are my boy my only one it's just us to who have lots of fun
At the end of the day when I am in bed I can hear you snoring off you big bully head

If he were a human
He would be called brave
But he is a dog
And, as such, does not need the rave
