Ludo is a 4-5 year old, 70lb English Bulldog who was pulled from a high kill shelter by SNORT. While not much is known about Ludo's history, while in SNORT care we have observed that he doesn't seem to have been loved on very much in the past. He is not a big snuggler, but he has become attached to his lady (foster Mom) and will follow her around the house.

When he first came into SNORT care, Ludo didn't really know what toys and chewies were. He quickly learned from his foster siblings about these cool little round things called "tennis balls" and these squishy things called "stuffies" and Ludo thinks they are really great! He also loves to chew on nylabones and hooves.

Ludo doesn't require a lot of exercise, but he loves going on walks and he walks well on a leash. He also enjoys a car ride or just being wherever his lady is. Ludo even seems to enjoy getting a bath and being blow dried.

Ludo loves people so much that he gets very excited when he meets someone new, so we recommend a home without small children or cats. A home with older, dog savvy kids would be okay. As he can get really carried away with excitement when new people are around, it is important that Ludo's new owner give him boundaries. He is a big boy and would be difficult to control if allowed to do whatever he wanted. If given a slow introduction, Ludo will get along with other dogs his size, especially other male dogs.

Ludo is mostly housebroken, but occasionally has an accident in the house and can also be a typical stubborn bulldog at times and refuse to go out without some coaxing. Ludo would love it if his new owner could come home during the day to let him out. He loves roaming around in a fenced-in yard, but also enjoys going for walks, so a yard is not necessary for this guy. As he is not the most energetic guy, Ludo would be fine living in an apartment or a house of any size.

The thing that makes Ludo most special is that he is deaf. His foster lady has been teaching him hand signals and recommends that he receive ongoing training in his new home. He had a non-cancerous fatty tumor removed from his armpit recently, which is still healing, but is otherwise a healthy bully boy.

Ludo's foster lady describes him as a total love who just wants to be around his people and be petted. He is also a bit of a goofball and loves to make pouty faces and stick his tongue out.

Oh if only!!! Those spots, wrinkles, and lashes! I can come up with a thousand ways how it could be perfect, but it wouldn't be perfect enough. I hope Ludo finds the home he needs and deserves!
