Looking for the fountain of youth? Well S.N.O.R.T's Isaac has found it and he'd love to share it with his new forever family!
No one would ever guess that this handsome English bulldog is eight because he has the energy, stamina and health of a two-year-old. Despite his large frame, he's just a healthy 64 pounds - thanks in large part to his LOVE (which is putting it mildly!) of walks and playtime.
Isaac is a big goofball who has no real sense of his size. He truly thinks he can fit under every table and has even been known to knock into the occasional wall! His future family should enjoy taking Isaac for several walks a day to prevent a stir-crazy bulldog!
While a fenced-in yard is not required, it would be immensely helpful to help Isaac burn off some of his energy. He does walk well on a leash but is strong.
When not out for one of his many daily walks, Isaac simply adores belly rubs; he'll even roll over just so you can have easy access to his belly! Also, if you happen to not be paying enough attention to him, he'll come over and sit on your feet just to remind you that he's in need of some petting.
Like many bulldogs, Isaac's had some skin issues over his eight years and came to S.N.O.R.T. missing a few patches of hair. Since entering foster care, he has responded well to a higher quality food and fish oil supplements into addition to coconut oil rubs. As long as his new family keeps up this routine, Isaac's skin and hair should be more than manageable. He is housetrained and otherwise completely healthy.
In typical bully fashion, Isaac can be very set in his ways. He came to S.N.O.R.T. in need of a lot of work on his manners. He and his foster mom have been working diligently on obedience training and it is a must that his new family continues training to help him reach his potential.
Along a similar line, it is probable that Isaac spent the past eight years of his life as an only dog and would prefer it to stay that way. He has shown some unwanted attention toward his foster family's resident female English bulldog and has been less than cordial to dogs he's met on his walks. Obedience training will certainly help, but Isaac will still need to be the only pet (dog or cat) in his future forever home.
