Chewy is a 7 1/2 English Bulldog (neutered and up to date on all shots) who was surrendered to us recently due to a change in family circumstances. He loves to cuddle, lay in the sun, go on walks, and generally chill. Chewy hardly ever barks, and understands basic commands (in French) but his foster family has been working on his understanding of commands in English.Chewy walks well on a leash with a harness. He loves to walk, and once he gets going he wants to keep going!Chewy sleeps on his bed with his foster family and sleeps solid for the night.Like many English Bulldogs, Chewy requires some hygiene maintenance. As he has a corkscrew type tail, he needs to have his tail well cleaned at least every to days. He also needs to have his face and ears wiped regularly to keep them very clean. Chewy has a bit of a crusty nose but with regular Snoot Smother cream his nose seems to be improving.Chewy is a true English Bulldog, so 95% of the time he is chill, however he can be stubborn and will let you know with a soft grrr that he's not happy about something.Chewy would do best in a quiet English Bulldog savvy home where he is the only dog or with another submissive, mature female English Bulldog. He has not been around young children his entire life therefore he can only be placed in a home with Bullie savvy late teens/young adults. He has been left alone for longer periods (8-12 hrs) however as he loves to have people around him, his foster family believe a home where someone is home most of the time would be ideal, but not mandatory.Chewy will go to his new home with two large Costco beds in very good condition, food, some toys, collar, and lots of wipes.CHEWY WILL NOT BE PLACED IN A HOME WITH CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16CHEWY IS BEING FOSTERED IN Kanata
