Chops, rescue bulldog, was left in the backyard when his previous owners sold their home and moved away. Thanks to a neighbor who fed him when they could, and a realtor who got him to a local rescue contact, he is now safe, warm, full and in a foster home.

Chops appears at some point in his past life to have been a family pet. He is neutered, house trained, likes to ride in a car and wants to be with his human. He will follow you room to room. Of course, that is understandable since he was abandoned. He has recently learned to use a dog door. He walks nicely on a leash and seems to enjoy short walks. He prefers to be an only dog so will be placed as an only pet. No cats. As is obvious in his pictures, he is thin since his feeding was likely a hit and miss for several weeks. He has already gained 4 lbs since his short time in rescue.

He has also been exposed to crate training since in rescue and is making good progress with this. He is a smaller boy who will likely top out under 50 lbs when he regains his weight. Although his exact age is unknown, the tentative estimate is 7-8. He will need a new home with a minimum of a small yard.
He is a cute little guy that seems in true Bulldog style to have moved on from the recent loss of his family and he has regained quite a zest for life.

He is pending a vet check and updates on immunizations that will be completed promptly. He appears to be in surprisingly good shape medically except for some understandable weight loss.
