I was blessed to have you in my life for 11 years- you brought me peace, love and such happiness. Letting you go has been one of the hardest things I have ever done but in the end the fight was too great and it was time for you to rest.
Gone but never forgotten my beautiful bully! Until we meet again at Rainbow bridge.

I am so sorry for your loss, WOW, 11 years, you had to have been a very good mommy to have Higgins have such a healthy long life.

I feel your pain MichelleK - Higgins was a wonderful friend and will never be forgotten. I know things are difficult tomorrow but every day, little by little, things will get better until eventually those tears turn into smiles when you remember the love you shared with your bully.

I am very sorry you lost your beloved Higgins. What a lovely tribute! Time heals, you have 11 years of wonderful memories. Do you plan to get another Bully? Sometimes that helps ease the loss and loneliness.

MichelleK My first post on this forum was right where you are in the memorials...I have been in your shoes and it's a terrible, heartbreaking thing to have to let such a huge chunk of our hearts go. I say it all the time and I'll keep saying it... no dog compares to a bullies love. It's just something different about them which makes it harder to make the final decision for them at the end. We'll see our babies again, but until then take comfort in the fact that they are in no more pain and playing with their friends over the rainbow bridge.

It's not right for everyone, but 8 days after Cassie passed we got a baby bully. Though she will never replace Cassie she helps fill the void.

So sorry to learn about the loss of Higgins. Just be assured he is at the Rainbow bridge with all of our passed bullies, playing freely and not in pain or feeling the effects of age. He watches down on you daily and thanks the lord you were his mom and he was loved as much as he was.

Thank you very much for all your words of support- it really means a lot. I got Higgins 1 month after I got married and he was my baby ( don't think he ever grew up ) for 11 great years. He unfortunately developed Lymphoma 6 months ago and despite Chemo- it was too aggressive and 2 weeks ago at his weekly visit at the specialist I got the terrible words that we were at the end . So we took him home- made sure he had everything and anything he wanted , cuddled him and then had to take him on Sunday- definitely the hardest thing I have ever done!! The most difficult thing is to stop looking for him coming to greet as I get home.....or getting a cuddle ....bullies give the best cuddles!!! In time I may consider getting another bully- right now my heart is to sore.

It has been 4 weeks since you passed over Raibow bridge. I still miss you every day and hope you are running around with all the other bullies creating chaos.

To all the other moms and dads who have lost a bully- I hope you find comfort in the wonderful memories and extra ordinary love you had with them.
