What's the earliest age you can take a bulldog puppy home? It's so confusing!

Hey guys, so I've been reading so many different comments on what the best age is to take a puppy home and most of them say 8 weeks but then there are those that say 6 or 7 weeks is fine and may even be better because after 8 weeks they hit their fear stage and so it's good for them to be comfortable with you during the weeks before. Well I'm supposed to be getting my English Bulldog this weekend but he's only going to be 6 weeks and a few days old. Is that to early?? I'm sooo excited to get him and I honestly don't want to wait but I also want to do what's best for him so if that means I have to wait another week or two then I definitely will. Any advice would be great, thanks!
