We were looking for a bulldog, we were using online resources here in Utah (KSL and craigslist). There are SO many english bulldogs listed for $200, with weird numbers, claiming the phone is broken and can only communicate through email. They also claim they have to ship the dog, BIG RED FLAG! The last common variable . . scammers are getting smarter, they are asking you to fill out a questionnaire of why you'd be a good home!

Luckily we didn't get scammed and still got an awesome deal on our bully, Shia, she is perfect!! :p

We have the same kind of scam going on in South Carolina - We filled out the questionnaire and got a response - the way it stated in the ad that the person was stateside and had to move abroad - but then the response email states that the dogs are already in whatever country and you would have to pay for shipping - we responded back no thanks - we really wanted to see at least one parent on site when we came and looked at the living conditions of the puppies........so this is going on everywhere, Shame, when people are really wanting a loveable bulldog.

Oh you will see them on every free advertising site, backpage, oodle, ebay classifieds, craigslist, newspapers, facebook, and now even they are using google ads. It is really bad!! I know our scam alert forum has saved many from these predators, but there are so many more who fall for it. Wish I could send a letter to every person in existance about it.

There are always ads like these online and in the Phoenix newspaper. It's not free. I guess they must get some response or they wouldn't pay $15. an ad to run these.

It is really sad. Hopefully not many people fall for them, so they get stopped!

By many names depending on the situation?
Good For you. Too many scams all around on too many things including dogs. Do research about a Bulldog and it is easy to see that the cost of a puppy is expensive when considering that 95% of breedings are AI and 95% are C-sect. The cost alone is more than anyone would sell a puppy for only a few hundred dollars.
ASK to see the parents, do they own the parents, do they have copies of AKC or FCI registrations (others as well), ask for references! If possible GO see the dogs in person. We have been very fortunate, 5 of the dogs that we have imported were REALLY EBD's. Too mnay times also, the puppy (if you get one) is NOT really a purebred EBD.
Keep passing on the scam alerts. Check back often, tell others.
Good Day~
