EBN's Breast Cancer Awareness Photo Winner Has Been Decided
Friday evening I went to my mom's house with all the photos downloaded on my tablet. After some small chit chat...we got down to business. Selecting the winning photo was NOT an easy task. She was upset that she could only pick one. She loved every photo and stopped and gazed at each one. We looked thru them all 3 times and although she oohed and aahed over all the photos, one was clearly her favorite.
Congratulations to @dolphin and @maggieluvsbuster for the photo of Buster.
I wanted to take a photo of her holding up her selected photo on the tablet. Before she would allow me to do that she wanted to make sure her hair was straight. Not sure if she was serious or not but she got her brush and proceeded to make herself beautiful for her photo.
She chose this photo because she thought Buster was absolutely beautiful and she loved how he was wearing (how it appeared to her) a cancer hat like she often does when she leaves the house.
In 2010, there were more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. In reality, about 1 in 8 women in the United States — 12 percent, or about 12 out of every 100 — can expect to develop breast cancer over the course of an entire lifetime.
I want to thank every single person who took the time to read my article, submit a photo, give words of strength and love..and who showed support and kindness to both of us.
