Hi Everyone! My name is Marche` (pronounced Marshay) but most of you know me as boomsboo here on EBN. I was born in 1988 & raised in San Diego County. I later moved to the inland empire when my mom and dad split. When I was young, my dad would always surprise us with a pet dog that he would save from a rescue. We always usually had labs with some type of odd mix, but they were always great dogs! Hereís one picture of my sister and I with my favorite childhood dog, Sadie. Sadie was so sweet and for the life of me, I donít know how he could be so patient with us kids!
At the age of 17, I met the love of my life, who I am still with today almost 8 years later. His name is Bryce. Weíve been living together for 5 years. When I first met him, I shared my obsession of English Bulldogs with him. He wasnít very fond of them because he didnít grow up with pets like I did. The first year that we moved into our current home, it was around Christmas time, Bryce ended up surprising me by letting me pick out an English bully of my choice (we met the litter and I got to chose one). Of course, he insisted that we get a boy. There were only two boys in the litter and Tank immediately caught my eye. Below is a picture of Tank (the last pup on the left) and his many sisters with his Momma, Lilly.
Here are a few other pictures of when we brought Tank home.
Four years later, Tank has become part of our little family and we will not go anywhere without him. Bryce and I have made a serious decision to not have children together. I know this is a rough topic to speak about but I wanted to share it to let people know that Tank is our child. Fur aside, we love him as if he was our own. And when we no longer have him, I hope to adopt a bulldog in need. We have become pretty obsessed with Bulldogs now that we have Tank. I have never owned a pet with as much personality as him. English bulldogs are not only smart, but loyal.
We found EBN website 2 years ago and love it! EBN is our go to place for any questions we have on English Bulldogs. It is very informative and we love meeting others who love bulldogs as much as we do.
A little more about us. Iíll be 25 years old this November. I am currently a college student, majoring in Court Reporting. If you donít know what that is, itís the person in the courtroom with that really weird looking machine that types everything that is spoken in court. Itís tough to do but I honestly love it! Iím very intrigued when it comes to all the crazy stories that you hear. I am happy to say that I am almost finished with school so I canít wait to start working!
My boyfriend works at Union Pacific Railroad. Heís been there for 8 years. He gets to move all those big trains around the shop to be worked on. I highly respect him for what he does; I donít know how he does it. Sometimes I think typing on my machine is probably easier than driving one of those trains! So while heís at work I stay home with Tank. My classes are at night so when Iím in class my boyfriend will be with Tank. We never leave Tank alone! Where ever we go, Tank goes. Heís apart of our family. There are rare occasions where we have to leave him alone and we hate it. When it comes to that we usually try to not be gone for longer than 3 hours.
I donít know if I could ever own another dog that isnít an English Bulldog. They are so smart and fun to be around. Iím sure we will have to get another bulldog after Tank is gone. Iím probably going to be one of those old people with English Bulldog pictures, pillows, blankets, etcetera everywhere in my house. Haha! Okay enough rambling. Thatís pretty much all there is left to say. Iím very happy I found EBN and have met some really kind and friendly people on here. I hope everyone enjoyed learning a little more about us. To close here are just a few extra pictures of us and Tank. J
