  • Poem ~~ Steve

    Author Diane Brizendine Slocum

I sit and stare at the box
    and scream why why why
    The tears won't stop
and all I do is cry

I sit and stare at the box
    heart filled with love
    Wondering and dreaming
    that your watching from above

I sit and stare at the box
remembering you always by my side
Oh the smiles you brought to others
    Fills this mommy with pride

I sit and stare at the box
I can feel you kiss my tears
    Then I listen closely........
    "Mommy, Steve here....."

Love this picture of y'all, Steve looks like a sweetheart and so glad
he brought you happiness, love & joy.

GOD heals every earthly wound...may He bring you comfort & peace
until you are reunited with your beloved Steve & other loved ones.

The one thing I can't put into words is the bond we shared and continue to share. I know when he is around me and when he leaves, I just can't describe the feeling. Everyday I miss him and everyday I wish for him to still be here with me physically. There are still days of non stop crying and the pain just as intense as the day we had to say goodbye
